Cheesecake Topping Recipe - chocolate glaze

This recipe for chocolate glaze topping works well on cheesecakes.

Ingredients

6 ounces chocolate

¼ cup butter

¼ cup confectioner’s sugar (if you use unsweetened or semi-sweet chocolate, not needed with milk chocolate candy bars)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (more is OK, reduce water accordingly)

1/3 cup water (you could use less for a thicker glaze)

Directions

1.     Melt the chocolate and butter together in the top of a double boiler.

2.     Stir in the sugar, vanilla, and water until the consistency is smooth and even.

3.     Spread the mixture over the cake, then chill before serving.

You could also shave chocolate curls on top of your cheesecak.
