Simple Ionic Bond Builder

How to Create an Ionic Bond
Following the Octet Rule, an ionic bond is formed between a metal and non-metal with valence electrons adding up to eight. The valence electrons are transferred from the metal to the non-metal.
To create your own ionic bond, select a metal from the left side of the periodic table and then select a non-metal from the right side. (Note that information about the elements appear in the middle when you mouse over them.) When you have selected your pair, the tutorial will show you whether you have picked correctly.
Good luck!

I think this is a great site for beggining learners, but not exactly for college students. Maybe something a bit more challenging and/or complicated???
