The One Ring

A little Hobbit by the name of Bilbo Baggins found a ring in which contained the power of invisibility. But little did he know about the History, power, and the inscription of the One Ring.

The history of the ring starts with an evil necromancer named lord Sauron. Sauron aided in the making of the Rings of Power, and he later forged one for himself in the fires of mount Doom. He then had power over all the other rings of power. He soon became so dependent on the One Ring that he and the ring were almost one. During a battle Sauron's body was destroyed but his soul traveled back to Middle Earth were he was rejoined with his Ring. In another battle the ring was cut off from his hand and was lost in the a river for almost two and a half millenias. from there a slimy creature by the name of gollum kept the ring until Bilbo Baggins found it.

For all that time that bilbo kept the ring, he still did not know about the many other powers of the ring. To an extent the ring could dominate the wills of other beings even if the being was not wearing the ring. it could also extend the life of the wearer and after a while the wearer would become a wraith to work for Sauron. It also had power over all the other rings of power, and it's power would always grow stronger when getting closer to the land of Mordor. It always strives to be with its master, lord Sauron.

The ring contained an inscription that was created when Sauron originally forged the One ring for himself. The inscription says in black speech, "one ring to rule them all, one ring to find them, one ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them." This is what Sauron spoke after he made the ring, when an elf named Celebriomer heard him from afar and became aware of the purpose behind rings of power. This was understood because the inscription symbolizes the power of the One ring over the other rings of power, and can only be seen when heated by fire.

Sauron created the One ring in hope of deystroying all of Middle Earth. But later on, in the Lord of The Rings, the characters find out that the only way in which the ring could be destroyed was to throw it into the fires of Mount Doom were it was originally forged. Until then, Bilbo Baggins still did not know about the History, Magic, and the inscription of the ring.

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,

Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,

Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,

One for the Dark lord on his Dark throne

in the land of Mordor where shadows lie.

One ring to rule them all, One ring to find them,

One ring to bring them and in the darkness bind them

in the land of Mordor where shadows lie.
